Reminder: Entity Read Files sunset on October 31, 2024

On October 31, 2024, Display & Video 360 Entity Read Files (ERFs) will sunset. After this date, new private and public ERFs will not be generated. ERFs were deprecated in June 2021 and the October sunset date was first announced in January 2024.

If you are currently using ERFs to programmatically retrieve Display & Video 360 resource configurations, migrate to the Display & Video 360 API. You can either integrate directly with the Display & Video 360 API using REST requests or automatically import Display & Video 360 resource configurations into BigQuery using the Display & Video 360 API BigQuery Connector.

See our migration guide for more information on migrating to the Display & Video 360 API and the two integration options.

If you have questions or concerns about this migration, please contact us using our new Display & Video 360 API Technical support contact form.

Sunsetting Display & Video 360 Entity Read Files on October 31, 2024

On October 31, 2024, Display & Video 360 Entity Read Files (ERFs) will sunset. Public and private ERFs won’t be generated after this date. Migrate to the Display & Video 360 API to continue programmatically retrieving Display & Video 360 resource configurations.

ERFs were deprecated in June 2021. Since then, we’ve made updates to help you migrate from ERFs:

See our migration guide for more information on migrating from ERFs to the Display & Video 360 API.

Deprecation of Entity Read Files

Today we’re announcing the deprecation of Entity Read Files (ERFs). Users currently retrieving Display & Video 360 resource information from ERFs should begin migrating to using the Display & Video 360 (DV360) API or Structured Data Files (SDFs).

With this deprecation, we will no longer support ERFs through documentation updates or bug fixes. ERFs will continue to be generated and available for download for the immediate future. However, users should be prepared for ERFs to sunset at a later date. We will announce a sunset date in a future blog post and publish a notice on the ERF documentation page far in advance of the sunset.

Refer to our ERF to API Migration guide for more detailed information about the differences between ERFs and the DV360 API and how ERF information maps to the API resources and services.
