The power of professional learning

Behind every student who goes on to achieve great things is a teacher who has been a source of inspiration and encouragement.
At Google we know the power that a great teacher has to inspire the next generation of innovators and we’re proud to partner with the University of Adelaide on a new program to build skills in digital technologies in classrooms across Australia.
Associate Prof. Katrina Falkner from the University of Adelaide leading a Teacher PL session.

Based on our successful collaboration with the University of Adelaide, which has delivered more than 51,000 hours of professional learning online to more than 5,500 teachers across Australia, we’ve teamed up again to provide even more opportunities for professional development for teachers.

PL-in-a-Box supports professional learning (PL) of digital technologies in your school or community. These resources are designed to help deliver free professional learning sessions, workshops or events for digital technologies. Each PL packs provides up to 3 hours of content teachers to run their very own digital technologies workshop.

We have prepared PL packs in a variety of formats, including theme-based packs around core digital technologies topics, such as visual programming, algorithms and maker spaces, and packs associated with our free CSER MOOC courses. There are even PL packs designed for broad year-bands across both primary and high school. To get started with these resources visit the CSER website now.
