Goal! Take your next drive with a soccer commentator

As the most widely viewed and followed sport in the world, soccer (or, if you’re not American, football) is a global sensation. The sport unites communities in an epic competition that celebrates country pride and sportsmanship. And now, for the first time ever, Waze is giving drivers everywhere a way to get close to the soccer action and represent for their favorite team and country.

With voice navigation inspired by soccer commentating styles around the world, each turn, hazard and exit will feel like high-stakes action on the pitch. You’ll hear things like “Take the first exit. Then it’s onward to glory!” and “Hazard reported ahead. Getting through that defense could prove tricky.” In Brazil, we even voiced the experience by Luva de Pedreiro, a fan favorite and the most-followed soccer commentator on social media in the country.

Take a drive in the Automoball, a car outfitted for ultimate soccer fans. And don’t forget to share your national pride with a Mood representing your favorite country as they traverse the tournament rounds.

Score our soccer experience by tapping “My Waze” and “Drive with Luva de Pedreiro” for our Brazilian-based users, or “Drive with a commentator” for the rest of the world. Or you can use our links to access the Luva experience and our commentator experience (in English, French and Spanish).

Drive with Zombies (or run from them) this spooky season

As October 31st nears, spooky season is upon us. And it’s brought Zombies to Waze. Starting today, enter a Zombified Waze world on your next drive. You can choose to team up with an expert escapist to avoid the Zombies, or take your chance and get to know a member of the undead with a Zombie itself.

Activate your voice navigation to adventure with the Survivalist by your side to learn the best skills for staying away from the slow-moving menaces. You’ll ride with all the gear you need for surprises along the way when you change your vehicle guide to the Escapemobile, and show off your strength to other drivers with the Survivalist Mood.

If you’d rather a Zombie guide your way, select the Zombie voice navigation and find out if the rumor that these monsters think with their brains is really true. Road Trip with Kehlani

For many, the car is a sacred, peaceful place to reset while on the road. That’s certainly true for Kehlani, the American singer, songwriter and dancer whose music has united fans around the world. Today, Kehlani brings their love for the journey to Waze.

Fans can join Kehlani for a ride that takes them up close and personal to the artist, as Kehlani reveals personal stories from the road, how they set the mood in the car and of course, what making music means to them.

“Growing up, listening to music in the car on road trips was my favorite way to connect to my thoughts,” Kehlani says. “I’m honored to partner with Waze and bring that same sense of peace to other drivers, wherever they are on their personal and physical journeys.”

To dive even deeper into the world of Kehlani, drivers can choose from two Moods that are inspired by Kehlani’s own music and road-trip musts. (You never know what you’ll discover on the road).

Hop into Kehlani’s signature vehicle, El Kehmino (inspired by their own ‘81 El Camino), and begin clearing your mind — one turn at a time.
