Drive with Zombies (or run from them) this spooky season

As October 31st nears, spooky season is upon us. And it’s brought Zombies to Waze. Starting today, enter a Zombified Waze world on your next drive. You can choose to team up with an expert escapist to avoid the Zombies, or take your chance and get to know a member of the undead with a Zombie itself.

Activate your voice navigation to adventure with the Survivalist by your side to learn the best skills for staying away from the slow-moving menaces. You’ll ride with all the gear you need for surprises along the way when you change your vehicle guide to the Escapemobile, and show off your strength to other drivers with the Survivalist Mood.

If you’d rather a Zombie guide your way, select the Zombie voice navigation and find out if the rumor that these monsters think with their brains is really true. Switch to the Zombie Mood to show your allegiance to the misunderstood undead. And to get the full zombified experience, swap out your navigation arrow for the Zombieombile.

Activate the Zombie experience by visiting Waze or clicking “My Waze” in your app. Tap the “Drive with Zombies” banner to activate. Available globally with voice navigation in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Brush up on your office lingo with Biz Jargon voice navigation

As the sunny summer days come to a close, it’s time to take down your out-of-office email response, dust off your keyboard, and get back to business. Waze is here to help you brush up on your office lingo – the good, the funny and the ridiculous. Inspired by offices everywhere (both virtual and physical) the latest experience from Waze pokes fun at the people we can all become at work — acronym-slinging, jargon-parroting, catchphrase machines.

Starting today on Waze, you’ll be able to set “Biz Jargon” as your voice navigation for some relatable (maybetoo relatable) laughs as you hear “Make a U-turn: Or what I call ‘circling back’” or “Sorry, I was on mute, are we waiting for anyone else?”

Select your business-time Mood when you choose between Productive, Unproductive, All Business or Business Casual. And don’t forget to update your vehicle to a Paper Airplane — otherwise known as our Interoffice Memo — to set the full office mood.

Activate the Biz Jargon experience by visiting Waze or clicking “My Waze” in your Waze app and tap the “Drive with Biz Jargon” banner to activate. It’s available globally, in English (US & UK) and French, for a limited time.

Drive with Christina Aguilera this March

This March marks the arrival of International Women’s Day around the world and Women’s History Month in the U.S. It’s a time to celebrate trailblazing women throughout history. From the suffragettes to the #MeToo movement, women continue to fight against gender bias, discrimination and stereotypes. To mark this occasion, we’re welcoming feminist advocate and musical icon Christina Aguilera to Waze.

Christina has a long history of advocating for women and underrepresented voices, using her platform to put them center stage in iconic songs and music videos — from “Beautiful” to “Let There Be Love” to “Can’t Hold Us Down.”

“International Women’s Day is a significant reminder that we are still fighting against gender bias and stereotypes,” Christina says. “Partnering with Waze has allowed me to unify my voice with a community of people who care about helping one another.”

Now, her messages of empowerment and self-love — and her Grammy-award winning voice — are on Waze to inspire the next generation of advocates.

Jump in the car with Christina

Christina takes fans on a journey through her life and work, from her “Genie in a Bottle” beginnings to her breakout as a fierce and liberated woman in “Stripped,” to her current hits like “Pa Mis Muchachas,” that draw from her Latin roots. Plus, she’ll share some advice she’s learned along the way — in both English and Spanish.

To get the full Xtina experience, choose from one of four Moods — Magical, Feisty, Sweet, or Strong — and drive in style in the Dirrty Bike or Pinkup Truck. You’ll be ready to take on whatever obstacles come your way, from potholes to traffic jams.

Sing your heart out to Christina’s favorites

In honor of International Women’s Day, Christina has also curated a Spotify playlist that you can stream through the Waze Audio Player (the caris one of Christina’s favorite places to sing). The playlist is full of powerhouse women, including up-and-coming artists who are inspiring Christina today, and selections from her own library of belt-it-out hits.

The experience on Waze launched March 1 and is available for a limited time with voice navigation in English and Spanish. Visit Waze or tap “My Waze” in your app and find the “Drive with Christina Aguilera” banner. And don’t forget to start streaming the Spotify playlist.
