Dev Channel Update for Chrome OS

The Dev channel has been updated to 57.0.2970.0 (Platform version: 9150.0.0) for most Chrome OS devices. This build contains a number of bug fixes, security updates and feature enhancements. A list of changes can be found here.

Stable Channel Update for Chrome OS

The Stable channel has been updated to 55.0.2883.103 (Platform version: 8872.73.0) for all Chrome OS devices. This build contains a number of bug fixes and security updates. Systems will be receiving updates over the next several days.

Stable Channel Update for Chrome OS

The Stable channel has been updated to 55.0.2883.87 (Platform version: 8872.70.0/ 8872.70.1) for all Chrome OS devices except for HP Chromebook 11 1100-1199 / HP Chromebook 11 G1, Samsung Chromebook 2 11", HP Chromebook 14. This build contains a number of bug fixes, security updates, and feature enhancements. Systems will be receiving updates over the next several days.

Some highlights of these changes are:
  • API for setting BLE Advertising frequency for Kiosks
  • Files App Gallery: Resize Image Feature
  • SAML support for Integrated Windows ® Authentication
  • More Chrome APIs are whitelisted to force-install Apps and Extensions in Public Sessions.
