Beta Channel Update for Chrome OS

The Beta channel has been updated to 68.0.3440.59 (Platform version: 10718.50.0) for most Chrome OS devices. This build contains a number of bug fixes, security updates and feature enhancements. A list of changes can be found here.

Stable Channel Update for Chrome OS

The Stable channel has been updated to 67.0.3396.99 / 67.0.3396.101 (Platform version: 10575.58.0) for most Chrome OS devices. This build contains a number of bug fixes and security updates. Systems will be receiving updates over the next several days.  A list of changes can be found here.

Security Fixes

  • Prevent unchecked TPM reset on certain device models.
    • This was fixed in the original stable release but was inadvertently left out of the release notes

  • Detachable base swap detection

Security Fixes
Note: Access to bug details and links may be kept restricted until a majority of users are updated with a fix. We will also retain restrictions if the bug exists in a third party library that other projects similarly depend on, but haven’t yet fixed.
  • We're continuing to roll out Site Isolation to a larger percentage of the stable population.
  • Spectre variant 2 fixes for ARM devices on 4.4 kernels.
