GFiber is bringing our suite of lifestyle-based internet products to Atlanta, Georgia, and Irvine, California—with the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology, speeds up to 5 gig, and built-in features designed for how people actually live and work today.
Internet is just as much an engine for creation now as it is for consumption, and people need a connection built to handle both. In major tech and creator hubs like Atlanta and Southern California, remote workers and digital innovators are driving greater demand for download and upload bandwidth and GFiber is here to meet that need.
Adding to the classic and foundational Core 1 Gig option, these new products—Home 3 Gig for bustling, multi-device households where everyone’s working, learning and playing from home, and Edge 5 Gig to provide game-changing speeds for creators and tech enthusiasts—immediately deliver the high-capacity, symmetrical connections these professional communities need right now. And we’re continuing to upgrade our network architecture in these cities to support even faster multi-gig speeds in the future.
Fast is just the beginning
These products go far beyond just a given speed to the home, though. They’re embedded with hardware, features, and a service experience tailored to a lifestyle. As always with GFiber, you’ll get Wi-Fi that blankets your whole home. On top of that, the very latest router and extender come standard with Home 3 Gig and Edge 5 Gig. We include the best tech available for those multi-gig products, our custom engineered GFiber Multi-Gig Wi-Fi 7 router, so customers for whom Wi-Fi is the lifeblood of their home can experience multi-gig speeds across their home, even over Wi-Fi. These multi-gig products also come with professional installation and added layers of support to max out your home network’s performance—like hardwiring critical workspaces, if eligible, like home offices and gaming stations (using their home’s existing wiring),[1] an internet battery backup option to keep you connected even during power outages,[2] and a 99.9% uptime or your money back guarantee with Edge 5 Gig.[3]
Setting a new standard
These new internet products tailored for how customers live online are just one way GFiber is redefining the broadband experience. By leveraging our network investment in 25G PON infrastructure, we’ve laid a foundation that doesn't just keep up with demand but anticipates it, building for life's most demanding moments. This year, we’ve pushed the in-home internet experience forward another leap with the launch of Wi-Fi 7 to enable home-wide, multi-gigabit wireless speeds, ensuring that high-capacity performance extends wirelessly throughout the home. This technology is standard with the multi-gig options now available in Atlanta and Orange County, not an extra charge, reflecting our approach that puts customers first. Combined with the flat-rate, transparent pricing we’ve always offered, today’s announcement demonstrates our ongoing commitment to creating and adding value, not just for new customers, but for all GFiber customers.
